The Lake George Central School District has unveiled its new logo and mascot as part of the district’s rebranding as “The Lakers.” WNYT reports the new mascot will be known as “Georgie,” which is Lake George’s own version of the Loch Ness monster. Local legend has sightings that date back to 1904. The elementary school once had a mascot with the same name.The district’s teams were formerly known as the Warriors.
