A Queensbury center that recycles bottles and cans is announcing they’re closing at the end of the month. WNYT reports redemption centers across the state are closing because the fee they make – which is set by the Legislature –has stalled at 3 ½¢ cents per bottle or can since 2009, and that’s the scenario facing MT Returnables, which will shut down November 30th without an increase.
