In Lake George, veterans of the U.S. armed forces and active military personnel from Warren County and elsewhere in the Adirondacks will be honored at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 during Fort William Henry’s “Field of Flags” ceremony — and the public is invited to participate. Sun Community News reports the Veterans Day event is to be held on the front lawn of the fort, where 9,366 flags are on display through Nov. 12, each representing a soldier or veteran.
