The Lake George town board has expressed support for the idea of eliminating the $45-per-meeting pay for members of the town Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals. Sun Community News reports members of the two boards were asked if it was okay to eliminate their attendance stipends, and no one opposed the idea. He said that dealing with the paperwork for such payments cost the town more than the total of the stipends paid.
