A major initiative to upgrade Veterans Park in Bolton Landing with new features moved forward recently with Gov. Kathy Hochl’s announcement of a second state grant of $1.725 million toward the project. Sun Community News reports the grant is to bankroll about three-quarters of the $2.3 million cost of constructing a new recreation center at the park to host educational and recreational programs year-round. This monetary award was preceded by a $975,000 grant pledged in 2021 towards other upgrades of the park.
