State Police in a Greenwich arrested 56-year-old Robert D. Carota of Argyle, for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree and Driving While Intoxicated-Prior Conviction. Carota was stopped for a traffic infraction as he traveled down State Route 197 in the town of Argyle Saturday night. When the Trooper spoke with him, they could smell alcohol on his breath and observed signs of impairment. The Trooper attempted to administer the roadside sobriety tests, but Carota refused to complete them. A DMV check also determined that he was operating on a revoked driver’s license.
