Lake George’s two most prominent protection groups on Thursday announced they will merge, citing growing threats to the lake’s water quality. According to the Post Star, boards from the Lake George Association and The Fund for Lake George unanimously endorsed the merger this week, citing a growing number of threats impacting the lake, including harmful algal blooms and invasive species.
