Latest Warren County Coronavirus Stats

Warren County Health Services reported 15 new Warren County resident COVID-19 cases as of Monday morning, along with 43 additional recoveries.
Nineteen (19) Warren County residents are hospitalized, unchanged from Sunday.
All 19 are moderately ill, while one (1) person is critically ill in a skilled nursing facility. Two (2) others are moderately ill outside of the hospital.
Health Services staff are monitoring 317 active COVID-19 cases as of Monday. 295 of these cases involve mild illness.

County Health Officals Grapple With Low Vaccine Supplies

Warren County Health Services exhausted its vaccine supply as of late last week, and is working with New York State to obtain more and expand local vaccination clinics. Additional clinics will be scheduled as vaccine supplies allow.
As of Monday afternoon, New York State-operated clinics in Plattsburgh and Potsdam listed available vaccination appointments for members of the public who are eligible. Check here: am-i-eligible.covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/.

Latest Albany County COVID Numbers

There are 151 new cases of the coronavirus in Albany County since Sunday. According to the Saratogian, there are also 14 new hospitalizations with 15 patients in the ICU. A total of 173 county residents are currently in the hospital for COVID-19.
There was one new death in the county — a man in his 60’s. Three of those currently hospitalized are in their 20’s.

Latest Warren County COVID Numbers

Warren County Health Services reported 23 new Warren County resident COVID-19 cases as of Sunday morning, along with 59 additional recoveries.
Nineteen (19) Warren County residents are hospitalized, four (4) fewer than Saturday thanks to four (4) discharges.
All 19 are moderately ill, while one (1) person is critically ill in a skilled nursing facility. Four (4) others are moderately ill outside of the hospital.
Health Services staff are monitoring 345 active COVID-19 cases as of Sunday. 321 of these cases involve mild illness.

State Updates Guidance For Higher Risk Sports

New York State has updated its guidance for “higher risk” sports. Effective February 1, 2021, participants in higher risk sports and recreation activities may partake in individual or distanced group training and organized no/low contact group training and, further, may partake in other types of play, including competitions and tournaments, only as permitted by the respective local health authorities.
Local health authorities should consider factors such as whether there has been a more-transmissible variant of COVID-19 identified in the area, local rates of COVID-19 transmission or rate of positivity and local ability to monitor and enforce compliance.

Stefanik Statement To Halt Of Construction On Keystone XL Pipeline

President Joe Biden has issued an Executive Order to halt construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline. Congresswoman Elise Stefanik responded in a statement reading, “One of my first votes in Congress was to authorize the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, a project with bipartisan support that reduces energy costs, creates thousands of jobs, increases America’s economic competitiveness, and enhances our energy independence. It is appalling that one of President Biden’s first actions, after repeatedly calling for unity, is to kill tens of thousands of American jobs during an economic crisis.”

Warren County COVID Update

Warren County Health Services reported 36 new Warren County resident COVID-19 cases as of Thursday, along with 25 additional recoveries.
The new cases continue to stem mainly from work-related exposures as well as exposures within households and with acquaintances. Warren County Public Health continues to learn of individuals who have been going to work or school while ill and symptomatic; it is imperative that you please stay home if ill.
Seventeen (17) Warren County residents are hospitalized, unchanged from Wednesday. All are moderately ill. Seventeen is the highest number of hospitalized Warren County residents during the pandemic. Five (5) others are moderately ill outside of the hospital.

Police Reform Teleconference In Washington County

The Washington County Sheriff will hold a public hearing on January 26, 2021 immediately following the Public Safety Committee meeting scheduled for 1:00 PM via teleconference to gather public comment on the Washington County Sheriff’s Police Reform and Reinvention Collaborative Plan in response to the Governor’s Executive Order No. 203. Survey About Broadband In Warren County

Warren County and Warren County EDC are partnering on an effort to improve broadband internet service around Warren County.
One of the phases of this project involves a survey of Internet service, which the our residents, business owners, students and anyone who uses or needs Internet service in Warren County is asked to complete.

Warren County Health Services and its partners had no vaccine for clinics in Warren County on Tuesday or Wednesday. Warren County Health Services is awaiting additional vaccine doses, as the county has administered its initial allotment. Additional clinics will be scheduled as supplies allow.
