Latest Warren County COVID 19 Numbers

Warren County Health Services is saddened to report two (2) additional COVID-19 fatalities involving Warren County residents as of Monday morning.
One died at a skilled nursing facility, the other in the hospital. Both had been residents of skilled nursing facilities before they became ill. One was in their 60s, and the other in their 80s. 18 Warren County residents died from COVID-19 in January.
Warren County Health Services reported 13 new Warren County resident COVID-19 cases as of Monday morning, along with 31 additional recoveries. Ten (10) Warren County residents are hospitalized.

Latest Albany County COVID Numbers

There are 157 new cases of the coronavirus in Albany County since Saturday. There are now 1,578 active cases with18 new hospitalizations with 11 patients still in the ICU. This brings the total to 142 county residents currently in the hospital for Covid-19. There have been 3 new deaths in Albany County.

Latest Warren County COVID Update

Warren County Health Services reported 17 new Warren County resident COVID-19 cases as of Thursday morning, along with three (3) additional recoveries.
Sixteen (16) Warren County residents are hospitalized, unchanged from Wednesday. All 16 are moderately ill, and one (1) other is moderately ill outside of the hospital.
Health Services staff are monitoring 317 active COVID-19 cases as of Thursday. 300 of these cases involve mild illness.

Woman Faces Charge In Fort Edward Stabbing

A woman is facing an attempted murder charge after police say she stabbed a man with a kitchen knife in Fort Edward. According to WNYT, police say 31-year-old Nikketa Connor stabbed the man on the left side of his chest. The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. Connor is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, because police say her 3-year-old was there when it happened.

Rutland Regional Medical Center Restricting Some Visitor Access

Rutland Regional Medical Center has restricted visitor access to its 5th Floor Inpatient Medical Unit after a fifth staff member on the unit tested positive for COVID-19. This unit is separate from all outpatient services, including the Foley Cancer Center.
The hospital has been working closely with the Vermont Department of Health to conduct contact tracing and has expanded testing for any staff or patients who may have been exposed. Teams are identifying and reaching out to anyone who may have come into recent contact with the infected staff members, including any discharged patients

Glens Falls Man Charged In Capitol Incident

A Glens Falls man who boasted in a Facebook video that he was in the “Capitol building smoking with all my people!” was arrested Wednesday in connection with the insurrection earlier this month, according to federal officials. James Bonet was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building without lawful authority and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, both federal misdemeanors, according to court documents. The Albany FBI office said Bonet was arrested Wednesday.

Bus Driver Quarantines Hamper In Person Learning Efforts

Five bus drivers, exposed to coronavirus, will keep all Hudson Falls students home for virtual school for another week. The Post Star reports there was scheduled to be in-person learning as of Monday but someone tested positive and in contact tracing, five bus drivers were quarantined. That was in addition to seven other drivers who were already quarantined. Three more bus drivers may also be facing quarantine and that leaves running the buses, with the number of available replacements, not feasible.

Warren County Health Services reported 38 new Warren County resident COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday morning, along with 36 additional recoveries.
Sixteen (16) Warren County residents are hospitalized, three (3) fewer than Monday in light of additional discharges.
All 16 are moderately ill, while one (1) person is critically ill in a skilled nursing facility. One (1) other is moderately ill outside of the hospital. Health Services staff are monitoring 319 active COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday. 301 of these cases involve mild illness.

Latest Albany County COVID Numbers

Three additional COVID-19 deaths in Albany County on Tuesday, including a woman in her 70s, a man in his 80s, and a man in his 90s. Those deaths brought the county death toll to 299 since the pandemic began being tracked last March. The county executive also saw 150 new positive cases including 35 people who had close contact with positive cases and seven who are healthcare workers or residents of congregate settings.
