A fight in Queensbury ends with one person in the hospital and two people under arrest. According to WNYT, Stacy Blair and Jerry Rogers used imitation guns to injure someone at the Days Inn. Blair hid the weapons in the motel room before police got to the scene. The person injured was taken to Glens Falls Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Health Insurance Open Enrollment Info
Health insurance open enrollment is still available for some, and Warren County Department of Social Services is making it easier for residents to apply through the New York State of Health program by bringing insurance experts to the Warren County Municipal Center on Friday, March 17, 2023.
Warren County will host “Street Side” events where representatives of Fidelis can answer questions and assist with enrollment, renewal or any queries regarding any health plans offered by NY State.

Washington County SRO’s Getting More Equipment
The officers responsible for keeping Washington County schools safe will soon have new equipment they need to protect themselves, thanks to the sheriff and $300,000 in federal money. According to WNYT, the equipment includes new vests that can take shots from a rifle, along with shields, helmets and rifles with special sighting.

Warren County Online Tool To Report Storm Damage
Warren County Office of Emergency Services asks that you use an online tool that allows residents and visitors to easily report storm damage they spot in their neighborhoods or elsewhere in Warren County.
The Warren County Storm Reporter application easily allows residents and visitors to let county personnel know of damage they encounter during or after severe wind, rain or winter storms.
The information that is received through the application will be compiled by Office of Emergency Services staff and forwarded to first responders, public works departments and state or federal agencies as needed.
Warming Centers Open In Warren County
Three (3) warming centers have been opened around Warren County as storm-related power outages are expected to linger for more than 24 hours in some parts of the county. Additional centers may open depending upon facility availability and duration of outages.
Those in need of a place to stay warm can go to the following locations for the duration of the storm:

Trio Arrested For Drug Trafficking
Three people under arrest, accused of trafficking cocaine and fentanyl in several counties. According to WNYT,
David Henderson, Hernandez Hayes and Kristin Lamb were arrested after a long investigation into drug trafficking in Saratoga, Warren and Washington counties. They were pulled over on the Northway and authorities say they found more than 16 ounces of cocaine, 16 grams of fentanyl pills, and cash in the car.
Initiatives To Improve Quality Of Life In Lake George
Business owners and community leaders are collaborating on conceiving initiatives that could enhance the quality of life in the town and village of Lake George. Sun Community News reports a few dozen people have been meeting since last August to consider potential new amenities or improvements to existing infrastructure to provide new local recreational, social, and cultural opportunities. Such projects would be primarily funded with grant money.
State Of Emergency In Effect Due To Storm
Governor Kathy Hochul issued a state of emergency as of 8:00 PM, Monday. Hochul says that she is anticipating wide spread power outages and is asking New Yorkers to stay off the roads. Accumulations will be high across the whole region, but the highest amounts will be across the mountains, where there could be anywhere from a foot or more to almost two feet of snow.
Washington County Man Convicted Of Attempted Murder
A White Creek man has been convicted of three counts of second-degree attempted murder after he shot at his landlords following his eviction on July 7, 2022. The Washington County DA says Matthew Parant will be sentenced on April 21. Parant got into an argument with the property owner, and after discovering police had been called, got a rifle from his home. Police said they were trying to talk to the property owner when Parant threatened to kill them, and then began to shoot.
