The Adirondack Bluegrass Festival runs between Saturday and Sunday, July 1-2, at the Barn at French Mountain, located at 5 Mill Road in the town of Lake George. The festival is billed as a mix of old-time classic and modern bluegrass stylings.
Tickets are priced at $35 per day, or $65 for the full weekend. Vendors, food trucks, cornhole and a bounce house will also be featured.

Fort Edward Man Facing DWI Counts After Crash
A Fort Edward man is charged with DWI after driving off the road and crashing into a dirt embankment. WNYT reports Saturday evening, 52 year old Frederick Klotz was driving on Lake Shore Drive in the Town of Bolton when the 2017 Ford F-350 he was driving left the shoulder of the road and hit that embankment. Police arrested Klotz after they determined he was driving while intoxicated.
Hague Looks At Short Term Rental Rules
The Town of Hague is looking at short term rental rules. Town Board members say there’s been an increase in short-term rentals in residential zoning districts. The Sun Community News reports, according to Hague Town Councilman Joshua Patchett, a short-term rental is defined as a period of less than 28 days. The proliferation of such rentals has affected the local housing market, causing a reduction in the availability of affordable housing, a trend that has been seen rising all across the country.
Hudson Falls Teen Accused Of Striking Other Teen
A Hudson Falls teen has been charged with second-degree assault, according to police. The victim was also a teenager. WTEN reports on June 21 at 4:30 p.m., police say a 15-year-old male was allegedly struck in the face by a 14-year-old female at Derby Park in Hudson Falls. Police took the female teen into custody and a juvenile appearance ticket was issued to her legal guardian.
Money Talk Surrounding Lake George Video Art Attraction Project
A new immersive video art attraction proposed for Lake George that is expected to draw tens of thousands of visitors to the village in the wintertime is expected to cost $3.4 million to present in its first year — and area business executives are urging Warren County to front $2.58 million in 2023 to launch the initiative by mid-December. Sun Community News reports the hope is to produce the interactive video show so it can be presented to the public by mid-December and present it daily through March.
New Digs For Shelters Of Saratoga Code Blue Winter Shelter
Starting this fall the Shelters of Saratoga Code Blue winter shelter will be at the former Grand Union Motel on South Broadway.
WRGB reports the new location will be able to shelter up to 80 adults and offer semi-private rooms. The previous location along Adelphi Street is currently being used as a temporary 24/7 365 low-barrier shelter run by RISE Housing and Support Services.
Lake Luzerne Woman Arrested For Welfare Fraud
A Lake Luzerne woman was arrested this week for welfare fraud. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36 year old Gina Mitchell after an investigation by the county Department of Social Services. Mitchell, say authorities, was found to have received $8,936 in benefits for which she was not eligible. She was arraigned in Queensbury Town Court.
Man Charged With Alleged Rapes In Queensbury
An 18-year-old man from Diamond Point is arrested for allegedly raping two people – including an 11-year-old child. Authorities allege Nathan Hilbert committed the crimes in Queensbury over the weekend. WNYT reports Hilbert was arraigned and taken to jail without bail.
Warrensburg Considers Sale Of Town Watershed Property
The Warrensburg Town Board is considering the potential sale of town watershed property in order to provide opportunities for developers to build housing, as well as raise revenue. Sun Community News reports at the recent June town meeting, the town board voiced support for Supervisor Kevin Geraghty’s idea to determine the market value of the property on the shoulder of Harrington Hill and issue a request for proposals for its sale and development.
Air Quality Advisory Extended Through Thursday
Governor Kathy Hochul today announced the existing air quality health advisory for the entire state will remain in effect through Thursday, The Departments of Environmental Conservation and Health are closely monitoring air quality for impacts from Canadian wildfires and issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for tomorrow after forecasts of levels of particulate matter pollution that are ‘Unhealthy’ and ‘Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups.’
