Man Charged With Having Sexual Contact With 9 Year Old

A man in Queensbury is under arrest, accused of having sexual contact with a 9-year-old child. According to WTEN, 19 year old Nathaniel North was arrested in connection with an incident on Jan. 8 at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Queensbury.
The suspect and victim are acquaintances, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office said. North was released and is due in court on Feb. 5.

Lake George Woman Killed In Fire Identified

A Lake George woman, killed in a house fire on Sunday, has been identified. Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire at 28 Newton St. at about 3:15 a.m. The fire had been extinguished by a family member, but 58 year old Kimberly S. Quay, died as a result of the fire. Another resident, 72 year old Daniel W. Quay, was transported by Lake George EMS to Glens Falls Hospital with minor smoke inhalation.

Deadly Fire In Lake George

A deadly fire in Lake George is under investigation. WNYT reports the fire broke out early Sunday morning at 21 Newton Street. At least one woman was killed in the fire. No word on that person’s identity or a cause.

Man Sentenced To Six Months For Photographing Woman In Shower At Warrensburg Campground

A Loudonville man must now register as a sex offender and serve six months in jail and five years of felony probation after being convicted of taking inappropriate pictures of a woman inside a local campground bathroom. 46 year old Mark L. Siciliano was convicted of using his cellular phone to photograph a young woman while she showered at Warrensburg Travel Park and Riverfront Campground in August 2022. Trial evidence showed that Siciliano was discovered by the victim’s boyfriend. Siciliano was located and arrested by members of the New York State Police shortly after the incident.

Shooting Investigation In Glens Falls

Glens Falls Police say they have found and questioned a person of interest in connection to a shooting. Officers responded to a report of a man with gunshot wounds near the corner of North Pearl Street and Lawrence Street around 6 p.m. Wednesday. Police found shell casings at the scene. The victim was taken to Glens Falls Hospital and later sent to Albany Medical Center for further treatment.

LGLC Receives Invasive Species Funding

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced nearly $3 million in grants for 43 projects to reduce the negative impacts of invasive species on New York State’s natural resources, economy, and communities. Lake George Land Conservancy receives $86,215 for Invasive Species Early Detection / Rapid Response efforts.

GFPD Investigates Shooting

Glens Falls police investigate a shooting that happened Wednesday evening near the corner of Pearl Street and Lawrence Street. WTEN reports details about potential suspects or victims were not available Wednesday night. Lawrence Street was closed for a time from Traver to Cherry.

North Country Pair Arrested In Stolen Vehicle Case

A call for a stolen car leads to two arrests in Saratoga County. WNYT reports Chantelle Joubert of Corinth and Charlie Dingman of Queensbury, stole the car of someone they know earlier this month, according to the Warren County Sheriff.
Deputies spotted the stolen car on Sunday, and pulled the pair over in Moreau and found drugs in the car.
Both were arrested, and charged with grand larceny and drug counts.
