An investigation is underway as a Queensbury man was arrested after police say he offered massages despite being unlicensed and is accused of inappropriately touching customers. WRGB reports 54-year-old Tieli Wang was arrested at the Lilly Spa and charged with four Counts of third-degree sexual abuse and three counts of forcible touching. Police discovered three more victims had accussed wang of inappropriate touching.

Queensbury Woman Charged With Welfare Fraud
A Queensbury woman was arrested and is accused of welfare fraud, among other things. Taylor Winslow, 31, faces several charges. WTEN reports according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation found Winslow received $7,894 in SNAP benefits between May 2023 and March 2024 that she was not eligible to receive. Deputies say she was not honest about her total household income
Man Sentenced In Teen’s Fort Ann Death
A Washington County man was sentenced in the shooting death of a 14-year-old boy in Fort Ann. Jaden Walden was sentenced to three to nine years in prison. WTEN reports Walden, 18, shot and killed Rycky Stark, Jr. in August 2023. He was also ordered to pay various court fees. The shooting took place at a home on Charles Street. Court documents said Walden recklessly fired a shotgun that killed the victim.
Nitrate Levels Dropping In Lake George
Nitrate levels dropped dramatically last year in Lake George groundwater and select streams in the West Brook watershed, thanks to the new technology at the Village of Lake George Wastewater Treatment Plant that went online in February 2022.
The previous treatment plant, built in the 1930s, say officials, allowed excessive amounts of nitrates to enter West Brook, a gateway stream to Lake George, for 50 years.
Lake George Supervisor Passes Away
Lake George is mourning town Supervisor Dennis Dickinson. According to WTEN, Dickinson, who had been the supervisor since 2012, died late Wednesday. He had served as chairman of the Warren County Board of Supervisors Occupancy Tax Coordination Committee for several years, was a longtime member of the Tourism Committee, and was greatly involved in environmental initiatives.
Water Main Replacement Project Approved In Queensbury
The water main replacement at the intersection of Aviation and Glen roads in in Queensbury reached its final stage on Monday night with town board approval to “case” the water pipe. According to the Post Star, the 14-inch pipe will be placed in a 24-inch casing to prevent road damage in the event of another water main break like one that occurred at Queensbury’s busiest intersection roads in the early morning hours on Sept. 5, 2023.
Tennessee Fugitive Arrested In Washington County
A Tennessee man has been charged as a fugitive of justice following an investigation, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Michael Fanney, 30, of Morristown, Tennessee, was arrested in Hebron on April 2. WTEN reports Fanney is accused of violating probation out of Hamblen County, Tennessee. The investigation determined that he had reportedly been sentenced previously to 44 years of probation for narcotics and weapons charges.
Six Flags Great Escape Job Fair April 13th
The Six Flags Great Escape Resort will be hosting an in-person job fair on April 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Six Flags Great Escape Human Resources building at 33 Round Pond Road in Queensbury. Another Survey On Mascot For Cambridge Central School District
After tabling a school board vote to approve a new mascot last month, Cambridge Central School District students and the community are being asked to weigh in again. WRGB reports a survey will now include grades 2-12 in addition to residents. “Tigers” has also been added as a third choice in addition to “Valley Wolves” and “Eagles.”
Lane Closures In Lake George Later This Month
Drivers in Lake George are advised to watch for lane closures beginning later this month. According to WNYT, Route 9 in the area of the Northway overpass will be reduced to a single lane of alternating traffic, starting at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10. This will last through around Aug. 31. The lane closure is necessary to complete a bridge replacement project.
