State Police in Queensbury arrested 34-year-old Matthew N. Clifford of Hudson Falls, for Assault and Criminal Mischief.
State police were called to a Queensbury residence for an assault. When patrols arrived, they located an adult male suffering from multiple stab wounds. Preliminary investigation determined that the victim had been involved in a dispute with Clifford during which Clifford is accused of stabbing him. He was taken into custody at his home.

Battlefield Event In Lake George On Memorial Day
The Lake George Battlefield Park Alliance is holding a Memorial Day 2021 service at the grave of the Four Unknown Soldiers on Monday, May 31 beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Lake George Examiner reports the site is in Battlefield Park overlooking Fort George Road in the town of Lake George, NY. The soldiers buried there died in the Bloody Morning Scout, the first of three skirmishes that are known collectively as the Battle of Lake George.
Queensbury House Fire
If you were in Queensbury late Monday afternoon in the vicinity of North Road you likely saw or smelled it. A 6,000 square fot house was on fire. It’s thought the blaze started in the attic of the structure. The owner says his kids were in school at the time and his wife and mother in law were able to get out unharmed. No word on a cause.
Vaccination Clinics Held At Area Schools Monday
Warren County Health Services’ vaccination team held vaccination clinics Monday in Glens Falls, North Warren, Bolton and Hadley-Luzerne school districts for first and second doses for 12- to 17-year-olds. 141 doses were scheduled.
These clinics completed second doses at Warren County clinics for 16- and 17-year-olds, and completed first-dose administration for 12- to 15-year-olds in districts that agreed to host the vaccination team in recent weeks

Waste Haulers In Warren County Face New Registration And Fees
Waste haulers doing business in Warren County will now have to register their vehicles and pay a fee. The Post Star reports the Warren County Board of Supervisors has approved its solid waste plan and adopted the schedule of fees. Haulers will have to pay $200 for the first vehicle and another $100 for each additional vehicle. The permits expire on Dec. 31 and will have to be renewed every year.
Tribute Show Coming To Lake George
Tribute artists performing as Elvis, Buddy Holly, and others will take the stage in Shepard Park upcoming. The Lake George Examiner reports the event happens Saturday, June 5, 2021, 2:30 – 7 p.m. and is free. There are a dozen performers signed up now with more expected to join and some fans have reportedly been booking hotel rooms in Lake George already, according to show organizers.
Man Arrested In Weekend Stabbing
A 42-year-old man was released from the hospital after suffering multiple stab wounds . The Post Star reports the stabbing occurred at 14 Stephanie Lane around midnight Friday following a dispute at the residence. The victim was transported to Glens Falls Hospital, where he was treated and released. Matthew N. Clifford, 34, of Hudson Falls, was arrested in connection to the incident a short time later.
Queensbury Woman Cuffed For Burglary
State Police in Queensbury arrested 35-year-old Danielle M. Lionetti of Queensbury, for Burglary. Shortly before 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, state police responded to a Queensbury residence for a report of a burglary. Lionetti is accused of entering the victim’s home without their knowledge or permission and stealing their personal property. Lionetti was seen fleeing the scene by occupants of the residence. Lionetti was located the next day at her home in Queensbury and taken into custody.
Vaccinated Guests Can Go Maskless At Great Escape As Of Saturday
Great Escape officials say both the theme park and the Great Escape Lodge are allowing guests who have been fully vaccinated to visit without face masks, starting on Saturday. The same rule also applies to vaccinated staff.
The park continues to request face masks be worn by those who have not been fully vaccinated for coronavirus yet.
