Two Killed In Northway Crash

The cause of a deadly Northway crash is under investigation. WNYT reports 50-year-old Paula Ashline of Hudson Falls lost control of her car while heading southbound in Saratoga Springs late Thursday afternoon. Her car hit a tree and culvert, then overturned. Ashline and her passenger, 34-year-old Nicole Thaxton of Hudson Falls, were pronounced dead at the scene.

COVID Claims Life Of Warren County Resident

Warren County resident has died from COVID-19, Warren County Health Services reported on Wednesday. The deceased was 70 years old, unvaccinated and was living at home before they became gravely ill. The individual died at the hospital.
There have been 121 COVID deaths in the county since April 2020, according to county numbers. There were 16 new COVID cases in the latest report.

GF Man Sentenced In Connection With Capitol Insurrection

A man from Glens Falls has been sentenced for his role in the January 6 insurrection. WNYT reports James Bonet posted video on Facebook of himself smoking pot inside the Capitol during the riot on January 6. He will spend three months in prison and must pay a $500 fine. His co-workers spotted his Facebook post and notified authorities.

Queensbury Man Cuffed For Allegedly Pointing Gun At Officer

A Queensbury man is facing multiple charges after police said he pointed a handgun at a patrol officer. He was also found in possession of other weapons. WTEN reports the officer was in a patrol vehicle doing paperwork when 64 year old Kenneth Graham pulled up next to her, got out and approached her. He then pulled out an unregistered gun and pointed it at the officer who deescalated the situation and took her into custody.

Man Charged In Deadly Crash Makes Court Appearance

The man charged with leaving the scene of a fatal incident in South Glens Falls was in court late Tuesday afternoon. According to WNYT, a lawyer for John Lincoln-Lynch from Moreau argues his client’s $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond is too high. Lynch is charged in the February 27th crash that killed 67 year old Paul Trombley of South Glens Falls.

Man Dies In Washington County Crash

A deadly crash in Washington County is under investigation. WNYT reports it happened early Sunday morning on State Route 22 in the town of Hebron. 34-year-old Jordan Cook of Granville was drivin when his vehicle went off the road and down an embankment, then hit a tree. Cook was declared dead at the scene.

The Warren County Board of Supervisors committee that will make recommendations as to how the county should spend the $12.4 million in federal stimulus funding it will receive will meet next on Tuesday, March 8th.

Glens Falls Boy Makes Big Donation To Food Pantry

A little boy from Glens Falls is helping others for his 4th birthday. WNYT reports Jackson Taylor asked family and friends to bring a donation to his party for the Open Door food pantry. He collected more than 90 items or 71.6 lbs. of goods and donated his haul to the food pantry on Monday afternoon.
