A Queensbury man is facing multiple drug counts. 52 year old Miguel Gonzalez allegedly conspired to sell crack cocaine to police during a controlled drug buy operation. Gonzalez was arraigned Wednesday at Warren County Court. He was remanded to the Warren County Correctional Facility on $20,000 cash or $50,000 bond.

Lake George’s Ice Castles Taking On New Form
This winter, Lake George’s Ice Castles is becoming “Winter Realms,” a new spin on winter fun from the 35 million pounds of ice it’s built at Charles R. Wood Park for the last two years. WTEN reports Winter Realms is billed as a “Wintertainment Destination,” complete with ice skating, fancy lights, igloos, and a sculpture park. Kids can meet Santa Claus in Santa’s Village.
Measure To Require More Secuity Cameras At State Parks, Campgrounds
The kidnapping of the 9 year old girl from Moreau Lake State Park has new York state leaders calling for change. According to WNYT, Senator Jim Tedisco plans to introduce a bill that requires state parks, campgrounds, and recreational facilities to have security cameras at all entrances and exits.

Luncheon To Look At How Lake George Can Better Serve Residents
The Warren County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is welcoming the public to its annual luncheon on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Every year, the event serves as a stage for conversation around how the Lake George and Glens Falls region can grow and better serve those who live there. WTEN reports this year, that conversation will happen at the Carriage House at Fort William Henry – overlooking Lake George itself.
Cambridge School District Fights To Keep Indian Logo
The Cambridge school district says the education commissioner stepped on local control by ordering it to remove its Indian logo, but the state says the image reinforces stereotypes and it is a moot issue. WNYT reports the Board of Education has been fighting to reverse an order from Education Commissioner Betty Rosa in July 2021 that the district retire its Indian mascot and imagery. After much debate, the board had decided in June 2021 to change the logo.
GFPD Warns Of Scam Phone Calls
The Glens Falls Police Department is not behind a series of phone calls in the area asking for people’s personal information. Police said they have received numerous reports of someone on the phone claiming to be a police officer and asking for personal information. The Glens Falls Police Department is not behind these calls and are not making phone calls today looking for community member’s information.

Battlefield Marker For Battlefield Park
Another piece of Lake George history has been immortalized in marker form at Battlefield Park. Officials and community members gathered at the entrance to Battlefield Park on Sunday. They welcomed a marker dedicated to the final destruction of Fort George in 1780. British Major Christopher Carleton led a final raid on the site that fall.

North Hudson Nabs Main Street Revitalization Grant
The Town of North Hudson has been awarded Environmental Protection Funding to conduct a Main Street Revitalization Grant Program. Sun Community News reports the grant is for $200,000. After the purchase of a digital sign board for the Town Hall, the remaining $180,000 will be allotted to the revitalization of Main Street.
Reported Courthouse Threat Under Investigation In Washington County
Police are investigating a threat made against the Washington County courthouse in which a person overheard another individual threatening to shoot up the courthouse and harm a judge. The person who made the threat does not live in the state, according to LeClaire. Police are not releasing more details at this time as the matter is under investigation.
