A Warren County Jury has returned guilty verdicts against a Loudonville resident who illegally photographed a woman in a campground shower building in August 2022. 46 year old Mark L. Siciliano was convicted Thursday in Warren County Court for using his cellular phone to photograph a young woman while she showered at the Warrensburg Travel Park and Riverfront Campground.

Free Senior Citizens’ Thanksgiving Dinner In Warrensburg
The Warrensburg Volunteer Fire Co. is holding its annual free Senior Citizens’ Thanksgiving Dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19 in their firehouse at 18 Elm St. Sun Community News reports more than 200 people are expected to attend the communal meal and enjoy socializing with their neighbors, a tradition that was interrupted for two years by the COVID-19 pandemic. Meals will also be available for take-out — or delivery to those who are homebound.
Lake George Winter Carnival Tickets Go On Sale Monday
On Monday, Nov. 20, tickets go on sale for two parts of the 2024 Lake George Winter Carnival, starting with the annual carnival cook-offs. Every weekend of the monthlong festival, local restaurants stand off to see who can cook up the best chili, chowder, and other piping-hot choices at Shepard Park. Tickets for the cook-offs sell out every year. Tickets will also go up for the Lake George Winter Carnival 2024 souvenir mug.
$10,000 Check For Kelly’s Angels
Organizers of recent Lake George car show donate $10,000 to Kelly’s Angels.
The Adirondack Nationals Car Show brought tens of thousands of people to Lake George. Kelly’s Angels is a local charity that helps kids who’ve lost a parent to cancer or other illness. Albany Rods & Kustoms recently sent Kelly’s Angels a check for $10,000.
Grant Awards For The Arts In New York
Governor Kathy Hochul today announced over $46 million in grant awards through the New York State Council on the Arts. The grants are focused on arts groups including museums, and music, dance, and theater companies. Also, artists themselves and money for renting studio and performing spaces and regional arts and culture organizations.
Fort Ann Murder Suspect Issued No Contact Order With Victim’s Family
The 17-year-old boy from Washington County accused of shooting and killing his 14-year-old friend has been ordered not to contact the victim’s family and to stay off social media. WNYT reports Jaden Walden, of Fort Ann, allegedly shot Rycky Stark Jr. inside an apartment in Fort Ann on Aug. 16. Walden has been charged with manslaughter.
Warrensburg Dissolves Police Department
The Warrensburg Town Board voted recently to formally abolish its police department, which has been inactive for several years. Warrensburg Town Supervisor Kevin Geraghty said that dissolving the town police department was undertaken because the state Division of Criminal Justice Services was seeking to enforce new regulations and certifications which would require unnecessary work, and cost taxpayers.
Lake George Readying For Winter Realms
Lake George, typically known as a popular summer resort town is now pulling out all of the stops, in hopes of claiming a new title of Winter Wonderland. Roger Allan, events manager of Winter Realms by Ice Castles says they’ll have more than a hundred trees decorated, the tallest is going to be 60 feet tall with more than ten thousand lights, something he says people have really never seen anywhere else.
GoFundMe Campaign Started For Easton Fire Victims
A GoFundMe campaign has started for an Easton family whose calf barn was destroyed by fire on Sunday. According to WNYT, the fire broke out at about 5:15 p.m. at the structure at 164 Cozy Hollow Road, destroying the barn which belonged to Bill and Kathy Briggs. The calves were able to get out safely, according to Washington County Fire Coordinator Glenn Bristol.
Survey For Warren County Outdoor Recreation Economy Plan
Warren County has launched a new online survey to gather public input as part of the county’s process to create a Comprehensive Plan, and for use in development of a new Outdoor Recreation Economy Plan.
The survey is open to residents and non-residents of Warren County, and covers a range of topics focusing on quality of life, economy, housing and outdoor recreation.
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete, and can be accessed through a link on the Warren County Facebook page.
