In Warren County, voting in Republican primaries is scheduled for June 22nd, but early voting will be offered betwen June 12th and June 20th here at Warren County Municipal Center.
Republican voters from Lake Luzerne, Stony Creek, Thurman, Warrensburg and Queensbury Ward 1 have contests on which to vote.

COVID Vaccine Clinic Thursday In Queensbury
Warren County Health Services will hold a vaccination clinic Thursday, June 3 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Queensbury, offering the one-shot Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine. Find details on the county Facebook page.

Lake George Man Arrested In Thefts From Vehicles
The Warren County Sheriff’s Department arrested 27 year old Matthew Oswald of Lake George for allegedly stealing from an unlocked vehicle. Deputies arrested and charged him on June 1. Deputies say that Oswald took $1,100 in cash from an unlocked vehicle outside of the victim’s home in Lake George. He was arrested after an investigation, the incident happened on May 28.
Warrensburg Woman Arrested For Allegedly Stealing From Employer
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jodi Rivett, 47, of Warrensburg, after she reportedly stole money from a business she worked at and falsified records to cover it up. News 10 reports in December of 2020 the Warren County Sheriff’s Office received a report from The Deli and Meat Store of the North located on Main Street in Warrensburg, that an employee was stealing sums of money from the business. Rivett, who was a cashier at the business, allegedly stole more than $3,000 by deleting electronic business records from customer purchases.

Concert Series Kicking Off In Lake George
The LGD/50 Concert Series begins on Thursday in a special celebration at Charles R. Wood Park in the village of Lake George. The band “Dogs in a Pile” will kick off a season of concerts that go into July. Thursday’s “Memorial Meltdown” show will kick off a season of “pod-style” shows, which the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce describes as separating parties into pods, 8.5-foot by 8.5-foot, to maintain social distancing.
Money To Help Fix Failing Septic Systems Along Lake George
Homeowners within 250 feet of Lake George in Warren, Essex and Washington Counties could be eligible for New York State funds to replace aging or failing septic systems. The Lake George Mirror reports the state’s Septic System Replacement Program recently received $15 million in new funds to protect a greater number of rivers, reservoirs and lakes, Lake George among them.
Queensbury Hotel
The Queensbury Hotel is seeking to expand its ballroom and construct a new banquet kitchen as part of a 5,200-square-foot expansion. The Post Star reports they’ll extend the hotel’s first floor into the parking lot near the building’s entrance along Ridge Street. The $1.75 million expansion would increase the capacity of the hotel’s Adirondack Ballroom by 100 guests. A new banquet kitchen would also be built off the ballroom.
Forest Rangers Keep Sharp In Lake George
In the Town of Lake George recently, Region 5 Forest Rangers participated in their annual rope rescue training at Prospect Mountain. This year’s training focused on low and moderate angle rescues utilizing a new litter wheel system. Forest Rangers spent two days refreshing their skills on setting anchors and patient packaging, as well as building, raising, and lowering systems. The litter wheel system has already been utilized on several rescues this month.
Two Men Charged In Lake George Burglary
State Police in Queensbury arrested 38-year-old Matthew R. Hayner of Gloversville and 27-year-old Shane R. Smykla of Mayfield, for Burglary. Officers went to Casanova’s Cove in Lake George for a report of a burglary. Hayner and Smykla are accused of forcing entry into the victim’s motel room and taking their property. The victim, who was not in their room at the time, returned to find the two men. Smykla fled the scene prior to the arrival of police but returned a short time later and was taken into custody. Hayner was also taken into custody at the scene.
