Woman Arrested In Lake George Domestic Incident

State Police in Queensbury arrested 44-year-old Rebecca L. Ryan of Glenville, for Criminal Mischief and Endangering the Welfare of Child. Late Tuesday morning, State Police responded to a domestic dispute on Racawana Road in Lake George. Ryan is accused of intentionally ramming her vehicle into the rear of the victim’s vehicle during the incident. A small child was in Ryan’s vehicle at the time. No injuries were reported.

Police Seek Suspects In Lake George Vape Shop Break In

Early morning Thursday, individuals broke a window to get inside Vape More tobacco shop in the village of Lake George. Police are turning to the public for help identifying the suspects. WTEN reports the suspects can be seen by shop surveillance cameras. Board Moves Dollar General Project Ahead

The proposed development of a Dollar General store at 3760 Main St. in Warrensburg is moving forward as the Sun Community News reports the town’s Zoning Board of Appeals has approved zoning code changes for the project. Many are upset about the plan since building the store would mean the wrecking ball for the historic Emerson S. Crandall House.

Stec Amendment To Alter Impeachment Process

Senator Dan Stec Wednesday proposed an amendment to the New York State Constitution that would assure public office holders, including the governor, could be subject to impeachment after they leave office. WTEN reports the amendment reads, in part, “The assembly’s power of impeachment shall extend to the impeachment of former office holders whom would otherwise qualify to be impeached under this section, for impeachable conduct while in office.”

Warrensburg

Jason Hull, Warrensburg’s fire chief, has been credited with saving the life of a woman who was choking on food in a restaurant in the area of the Thousand Islands. The Sun Community News reports Hull and his girlfriend Beth Hill and her children were in a restaurant when he noticed a woman choking. Hull administered the Heimlich maneuver a number of times until he was able to jar the food loose. The woman was taken for medical treatment.

Lake George Antique & Classic Boat Show Rendezvous

The Lake George Antique & Classic Boat Show Rendezvous will return with more than 50 vessels later this month, following last year’s pandemic-induced hiatus. According to the Post Star, it happens Aug. 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the village public docks along Beach Road. A water parade is set for 3 p.m. that same day. The event is free.

Friday At The Lake Concert Happens On Thursday This Week

There will be no Friday at the Lake concert will be held this week, but a special Thursday at the Lake concert will be held in Shepard Park on Canada Street. According to the Post Star, the show is free to the public, with food and beverage vendors on site. Opening the show from 6 to 7:15 p.m. is a Lake George favorite, the Jonathan Newell Band Headlining the show and performing from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. is the Accents.
