Glens Falls Hospital is expanding in-patient visitation and will allow two visitors per patient at one time, with a total of four visitors per day. This change takes effect on Thursday. WNYT reports visiting hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days per week. Visitors must wear a mask at all times and should bring their own personal mask.

Fort Edward Man Charged With Having Sexual Contact With A Child
A Washington County man is accused of having sexual contact with a child. According to WNYT, 41 year old Adam Story from Fort Edward is charged with predatory sexual assault against a child and rape. The sheriff’s office says they arrested him after allegations of Story having sexual contact with a child. Police believe there might be more victims.
Lake George Wastewater Treatment Plant Up And Running
The new Village of Lake George Wastewater Treatment Plant is up and running!
Lake George Mayor Robert Blais, Lake George Supervisor Dennis Dickinson were joined Tuesday by Lake George Waterkeeper Chris Navitsky, Eric Siy, Executive Director of Lake George Association, and plant operator Tim Shudt for a ceremonial turning of a valve at the plant.
“The plant is operational, working well and protecting our gorgeous lake,” Blais said.
Work on the exterior of the plant will continue through the spring before the project is complete.
Warren County helped fund the project with $750,000 in payments. The plant is handling about 500,000 gallons of wastewater a day now, and will be able to handle up to 1.75 million gallons per day during peak periods of time.
Warrensburg Hit And Run Under Investigation
In Warren County, a hit-and-run investigation is underway after a Sunday afternoon incident on Route 9 in the town of Warrensburg. WNYT reports a 40-year-old man from Chestertown was traveling south on Route 9 when a black pickup truck hit the front passenger side of the car. The truck driver didn’t stop and kept going. There is no word on if anyone was injured.
State Route 418 Back Open To Traffic
The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists that State Route 418 between the Hudson River bridge near Hickory Hill Road and the intersection with River Road in the Town of Thurman, Warren County, has reopened to traffic. The road was closed on Feb. 19 because of flooding.
The Department of Transportation continues to monitor water levels in the area and will implement new closures on State Route 418 should conditions merit.

Warren County Credit Card Scam
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office NY is warning area businesses about a new credit card scam that has been targeting hotels in the Lake George Region.
A number of hoteliers have reported a scam where rooms are reserved using stolen credit cards, with the thieves then cancelling the reservations and having the charges refunded to a different credit card to essentially “steal” the refund. (When the reservation is made, the card hasn’t yet been reported stolen.)
Business owners should ensure that refunds go only to the credit or debit card used to make a reservation.

Warren County Department of Public Works has three job openings for equipment operators, one to operate light equipment and one to operate medium equipment, as well as a construction specialist. Our DPW has shops in Queensbury, Warrensburg and Johnsburg to maintain our highways, bridges and other county infrastructure.

Cambridge School Board Issues Appeal Over Indians Mascot
The school board in Cambridge has voted to appeal Education Commissioner Betty Rosa’s order to drop the Indians mascot. The resolution passed 3-2. WNYT reports board members on both sides said they voted based on principle, and this wasn’t just about a mascot. Some felt it was important to appeal because they said Cambridge was singled out.
