A lawsuit is in store for the Village of Fort Edward’s Police Department. WNYT reports it comes at the hands of a man who was tased by a Village of Fort Edward Police Sergeant while being handcuffed at the wrists and ankles. The lawsuit is aimed at the sergeant who did the tazing, along with the officers who stood by, and the entire Village of Fort Edward’s Police Department. It all came in the wake of Robert Murat-Hinson being arrested on July 8th in connection to a bar fight. In the video he can be seen kicking the wall while handcuffed. One officer tells him to stop, when suddenly Sergeant Dean Watkins shoots him with the taser.

County Board Of Supervisors Meets Friday
Warren County Board of Supervisors meeting Friday, March 18.
The Warren County Board of Supervisors will hold its regular monthly meeting for March on Friday, starting at 10 a.m.
The board will consider 49 resolutions, including legislation related to road and bridge work, such as repair of a retaining wall near Lake George in Bolton, a project to remediate an abandoned auto repair business in Johnsburg, a new youth mentoring program and development of a strategic plan to focus on outdoor recreation, among other issues.
Queensbury Man Arrested On Child Porn Counts
State Police Investigators in Queensbury arrested 24-year-old Zachary Buttling of Queensbury for Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child (D felony) and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child (E felony).
Buttling is accused of possessing and promoting images consistent with child sexual exploitation. His arrest followed an investigation stemming from a cyber tip received by the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the execution of a search warrant at his residence. Buttling was arraigned in Warren County Centralized Arraignment Part Court and released on his own recognizance.
High School Hoops Tournament Returning To Glens Falls
Warren County is welcoming the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Boys Basketball Tournament to Glens Falls. Cool Insuring Arena will host the best public high school basketball teams in the state between Friday, March 18 and Sunday, March 20.Glens Falls, which hosted the tournament for 36 consecutive years (1981-2016), will begin the first year of a new three-year term following the tournament spending three years in Binghamton (2017-19). The tournament was not held in 2020 or 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Capital Projects OK’ed In Greenwich School District
Voters in the Greenwich school district approved $3.6 million for a new capital project. The vote was 231 in favor to 80 against for projects including reconstructing two boys bathrooms in the high school, replacing the high school gym bleachers,
adding 45 parking spaces at the tennis courts, installing synthetic turf on the athletic field with lines for several sports and custom end zones and graphics, paving and Installing new 500-seat bleachers with a paved ADA-compliant walkway.

Hudson Falls Found Body Believed To Be That Of Missing Woman
A body found in Hudson Falls is believed to be a missing woman. WNYT reports state police went to the area of the Fenimore Bridge Tuesday afternoon, and found a body in the water. It has preliminarily been identified as 39 year old Krista Facto who was reported missing last week.
Two Finalists Chosen For LGCSD Superintendent’s Job
Two finalists have been chosen for the Lake George Central School District’s superintendent’s job. The Post Star reports
John Luthringer and Christopher Clancy will spend a full day visiting the school district on March 21 and 22, respectively. Each day will conclude with a chance for district residents to meet the candidates. “Meet the finalists” will take place at 5:30 p.m. on both days in the auditorium of Lake George High School.
Warren County Stands With Ukraine
If you were wondering why the lights at Warren County Municipal Center turned blue and yellow in recent days, it is the county’s way of standing with the Ukrainian people as they continue to fight against Russian invasion.
In addition, the Warren County Board of Supervisors will consider a proclamation at its meeting on Friday, March 18 which will include information about support of relief efforts for citizens of Ukraine and refugees who have had to flee their homeland.
Ballston Spa Man Accused In Bat Attack
A Ballston Spa man is accused of beating his neighbor with a baseball bat. 45 year old Pharrin Greene is charged with first-degree assault following the incident at an apartment on Milton Avenue. Arriving officers found 68 year old Bernard Rodgers unconscious. Authorities say the victim has a traumatic brain injury and a lacerated liver.
