This is National Safe Boating Week and an event was held in the region to raise awareness. Authorities said there were 192 boating accidents on state waterways in 2021. Eighteen people were killed, and more than 100 others were hurt and almost 90 percent of people who drowned following a boating accident in 2020 were not wearing a life jacket.

Primary Ballots And Early Voting In Warren County
Warren County Board of Elections has finalized ballots and early voting locations – which include a new early voting polling place — for the June 23rd, 2022 New York State Primary election. Early voting will start on Saturday, June 18th and run through Sunday, June 26th . An additional Warren County early voting site will be located at Glens Falls City Hall, 42 Ridge Street in Glens Falls. Early voters will also be able to cast ballots at Warren County Human Services Building, 1340 Route 9, Queensbury.
EDC Warren County Cuts Ribbon On New Office Space
EDC Warren County recently cut the ribbon on their new office space. They’re now in the historic Empire Theater Plaza, at 11 South Street in downtown Glens Falls. According to WNYT, the new space will help them collaborate with the community and revitalize Warren County. EDC Warren County’s top priority has been pushing for broadband internet access to every business and household in the North Country.
Habitat Helps Glens Falls Family
More than 100 people came out Tuesday to start building a home that will eventually become home for a family in Glens Falls.
WNYT reports doing all the work were more than 100 volunteers from Habitat for Humanity affiliates across New York.
Once this house is completed, it will be disassembled, and then put back together again in Saratoga Springs so that a pre-qualified family can move right in.
Ill Fated Lake George Boat Up For Sale
A piece of local history is now for sale. According to The Chronicle Newspaper, the owner of the Ethan Allen is asking for $49,900. WNYT reports the tour boat capsized and sank in Lake George in 2005, killing 20 passengers. The broker for the sale says the weight of the previous top is what caused the boat to capsize.
Woman’s Surveillance Camera Catches Intruder In Her Home
A Washington County woman says her security camera captured a man inside her home while she was there. WNYT reports
Kat Grimes was checking her camera feed history and spotteda snapshot of a stranger, caught on a charging camera inside her home while she was there. She doesn’t recognize the intruder, but she’s hoping someone else will. State police are now investigating.

No Injuries After Car Crashes In To Glens Falls Business
No injuries reported after a car crahsed into a Glens Falls business late Saturday morning. According to the Post Star, the vehicle drove onto a downtown sidewalk, over tables and chairs and crashed into the window of Downtown Social just after 11 a.m., Saturday morning. Police say the driver appeared to be dealing with a medical condition when they lost control and crashed. No injuries were reported.

Warren County Department of Social Services has some new jobs that are open. The positions include caseworker, social welfare examiner, senior account clerk and intake clerk. Civil service tests are being scheduled for social welfare examiner and intake clerk as well. Fort Edward Man Dies In Motorcycle Accident
A Fort Edward man died late Wednesday afternoon after he rode his motorcycle onto the road and was hit by an oncoming car. The Post Star reports 42 year old Tory E. Lapan was on County Route 46 in Fort Edward and was hit by a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which was eastbound on the road. Lapan suffered serious injuries to his head and chest and was transported to Glens Falls Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
