Warren County will receive more than $6 million for various projects.

Warren County Unveils Website To Track County Spending
Warren County is making it easier for taxpayers to track where their county tax dollars are going. Sun Community News reports the county has partnered with ClearGov of Massachusetts to create a new online “digital budget book” which allows users to see precisely how funds are generated and allocated, and better understand how the county’s annual budget impacts the community programs and services they care about most.
Firefighting Foam Spill In Granville
A spill of firefighter foam took place on Friday at the Performance Plastics facility in Granville and officials say the foam traveled offsite of the facility along a drainage ditch to the Indian River. The firefighting foam contains PFAS chemicals.
WTEN reports if you have a private well for drinking water in the area, officials said you may be contacted to have your water tested.
Man Facing DWI, Other Counts After Queensbury Incident
A man drove drunk during a fight, say police. WNYT reports 44 year old Michael Rawson was arrested in the parking lot of Hannaford Plaza in Queensbury Tuesday evening. He damaged a vehicle, police said. He also blew a 0.15% blood alcohol level – nearly twice the legal limit. Rawson was charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and misdemeanors of criminal contempt, criminal mischief and DWI.
Washington County Police Chief Facing Charges
A police chief in Washington County has been arrested. WNYT reports Robert Danko, who was promoted last week to Chief of the Cambridge-Greenwich Police Department, was arrested by the Washington County sheriff on Wednesday night.
Danko is accused of unlawful imprisonment, which is a misdemeanor, and harassment. The charges are related to an altercation he had last month with a woman he’s familiar with.

A heat advisory remains in effect for much of Warren County, as heat and humidity are going to rise to dangerous levels. Warren County Seeking Trails Feedback
Warren County is working to improve the multi-use trails in the county, focusing on Warren County Bikeway and the Feeder Canal Trail. The Warren County Department of Planning and Community Development staff leading this effort will be on hand at the Food Truck Corral at the Troy Shirt Building on Lawrence Street in Glens Falls on Thursday, July 11 to discuss the effort and get feedback from the trails’ users. They will have an informational booth at 71 Lawrence Street in Glens Falls between 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
LGPC Says Herbicide Is Performing As Expected In Lake George
The Lake George Park Commission has sampled Lake George for any remaining ProcellaCOR after a pilot treatment using the chemical herbicide was conducted in the lake on June 29. The Post Star reports the Results are in, and the chemical has performed as expected: so far, so good, the LGPC said. Within 24-hours of treatment, less than one part per billion of ProcellaCOR remained in the two treated bays of Lake George.
Glens Falls PD Hiring Traffic Control Assistant
The Glens Fall Police Department hired a full-time Traffic Control Assistant to help enforce parking restrictions in the city. WTEN reports the traffic assistant will work under a supervising police officer and impose the city’s parking ordinances, such as the two-hour parking limit.
Argyle Man Facing Charges In Traffic Incident
An Argyle man was arrested and charged with Menacing and Criminal Possession of a Weapon on Sunday. Police went to Flintlock Way in Argyle, for the reports of a delivery truck driver being menaced with a handgun. 39 year old Anthony M. Calhoun allegedly stopped the delivery truck operator on the roadway and threatened the victim and exposed a handgun located in his waistband.
