WTEN reports, in a 90-capacity ballroom with stage lights, sound equipment and seating surrounding a stage on three sides, two New York City-based actors will tell a story of love, longing and humor at a video store on New Year’s Eve, in a production of the Jack Neary play “First Night.”

Near Drowning In Bolton
A person is in critical condition in the town of Bolton after almost drowning on Tuesday. According to WNYT, the victim, identified as 66 year old Melanie Masters, was receiving CPR when they arrived to Huddle Bay Beach.
Masters is now in ICU at Glens Falls Hospital.
Adirondack Mountain Club Sells Member Services Center In Lake George
The Adirondack Mountain Club has finalized the sale of its Member Services Center building in Lake George. According to the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, FISH307, a Lake George-based company, bought ADK’s Member Services Center building on Goggins Road for $800,000. A portion of the Goggins Road sale will help ADK pay for its new Welcome Center on state Route 73 — the former Cascade Ski Center.
Glens Falls School Renovations Expected In Full Swing In Spring 2023
Phase one of new capital project renovations in the Glens Falls City School District are expected to be in full swing by spring of next year. The Post Star reports the $32.1 million project was approved by school district voters in 2021, but the project was delayed due to ramifications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, including rising construction material costs and supply chain shortages.
Latest COVID Numbers For Warren, Washington Counties
Warren County had an additional 11 new COVID cases Sunday out of 150 administered tests, according to the latest data from New York state data. The seven-day rolling positivity rate in Warren County is 7.7%. As of July 15, there have been a total of 15 active COVID cases in Washington County, with a seven-day rolling positivity rate in the Capital Region, at 6.1%.
Deadly ATV Crash In Warren County
Investigators in Warren County are looking into a deadly ATV crash. WTEN reports it happened Saturday night on Hayesburg Road in the town of Horicon. State troopers say Conor Kealy tried to turn onto Burnt Hill Road, when he lost control of the ATV and crashed. He later died at Glens Falls Hospital.
New, Easier Access To Help For Those In Mental Health Crisis
Warren-Washington Counties Office of Community Services reminding residents that 988 was phased in as the new 3-digit phone number to the national mental health crisis hotline over the weekend.
As of this past Saturday, dialing or texting 988 will connect those who need help directly with mental health counselors in New York State through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
The goal is for the simple, three-digit number to make it easier for those who need help to get it locally and nationally.
Merger Could Mean Expanded Transit Services In Warren County
A merger is now being negotiated between officials of Greater Glens Falls Transit and the Capital Region Transit Authority. According to officials, the merger would mean expanded services in Warren County. The Sun Community News reports CDTA would provide public transportation that could deliver both workers and tourists from throughout the Capital Region to Lake George, and bus routes might be expanded to serve the northern Warren County towns including Warrensburg, Chestertown and North Creek which now have no public transportation.

Cambridge School Board Considers Appeal To Court Ban On Indian Logos
The Cambridge School Board Thursday night was considering a measure Thursday evening to fight back against the court ban on its Indian mascot. According to the Post Star, a resolution at the meeting would authorize district attorneys to file a notice of appeal to a ruling that the district has to stop using the Indian mascot. The district has already started removing Indian logos by order of the state.
