A paper tissue and towel business is looking to expand its facility in Eagle Bridge and, with it, add new specialized jobs in Washington County. According to the Post Star, Morcon Inc. has filed an application with the Warren-Washington Industrial Development Agency seeking tax abatements. The business is looking for $743,750 in sales tax exemptions and $118,750 in mortgage tax exemptions. If the $14.6 million project moves ahead, the paper facility would build a 55,000-square-foot addition to its 20,000-square-foot complex.

Man Injured In Johnsburg Motorcycle Crash
A Wells man suffered serious injuries Sunday after he lost control of his motorcycle on Route 28 in Johnsburg. According to the Post Star, 71 year old Mark P. Duryea tried to stop for traffic while making a left turn onto Friends Lake Road before he lost control of his 2016 Harley Davidson bike, causing it to overturn. Duryea was ejected from the bike and suffered serious injuries. He was airlifted and transported to Albany Medical Center.

Missing Teens Found In Washington County
The two teen boys, Alex and Ricky Barbur, that went missing on Friday have been found in good health, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said. Before being located, the teens were seen walking into the woods. WTEN reports
Alex Barbur is 15 and Ricky Barbur is 13. The Sheriff’s Office thanked the community for all the tips and information sent in to find the boys.
Fort Ann Woman Charged In Single Vehicle Accident
A Fort Ann woman is facing charges after police said she drove while under the influence of drugs with two children in her vehicle. The Post Star reports State police responded to Round Pound Road earlier this month for a one-car accident and determined that 35 year old Katelyn Cutter was impaired. Cutter told police that she had been taking prescribed medications and “dabs,” which is concentrated butane hash oil. Cutter was charged with a felony count of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs with a child.
Kingsbury Biz Owner Has Footage Of Rip Off
A Washington County business owner says he has video footage of a couple of guys ripping off his store, Falls Farm and Garden in Kingsbury. It happened last Tuesday afternoon. As one suspect distracts an employee, the other helps himself to merchandise. The store’s cameras show him taking off with some tree climbing spikes worth more than $600. The owner say he knows the names of the men involved.
Granville Man Drowns In River
A Granville man who is disabled drowned in the Mettawee River on Wednesday. The Post Star reports State Police got a call about a missing man at approximately 10am. Police searched the area and located the man deceased in the river.
Preliminary investigation determined that Brett Hilliker, 24, entered the river and subsequently drowned.

Washington County Drug OD Cases May Be Linked To Fentanyl
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said it has responded to multiple suspected drug overdoses in the last 24 hours. The incidents include at least one fatal and multiple non-fatal overdoses that may be associated with fentanyl-laced drugs. WTEN reports Fentanyl is commonly mixed with heroin and cocaine and can greatly increase the potency of the drug. Police believe the recent overdoses are due to fentanyl-laced drugs.
