A Queensbury man admitted to committing bank fraud and aggravated identity theft at a Capital Region credit union. Court officials said 25 year old Evan Cutler and four others defrauded SEFCU, now Broadview Federal Credit Union, by using other people’s identities to withdraw loaned money. Funding To Examine Cell Service In The North Country
The Lake Champlain-Lake George Regional Planning Board will receive $250,000 in funding to support a region-wide planning project that will assess the availability of cell service and conduct an in-depth analysis of deployable technology options in the Adirondacks. The Regional Planning Board is partnering with the New York State ConnectALL Office to hire a consulting firm to gather signal availability data through drive tests on all state and county roads in Clinton, Essex, Hamilton, Warren, and Washington Counties.

Washington County Man Charged In Sex Crime Investigation
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of a Hartford man following a sex crime investigation. Paul Wooddell, 45, is facing multiple charges. WTEN reports Wooddell is accused of sexually abusing a child younger than 13-years-old for several years in Hartford. He was taken into custody this week.

This week’s storm which battered Warren County caused an E. coli alert for Million-Dollar Beach in Lake George. It was closed until the levels come down. Mayor Ray Perry tells WTEN, they did a storm water project to alleviate some of the E. coli a few years ago, but big storms like this can still cause issues.
NWS Confirms Tornado Hit Warren County
The National Weather Service confirms a tornado hit Chestertown, Warren County on Tuesday. WNYT reports the tornado was an EF0, which is the weakest kind of tornado on a scale of EF0 to EF5. However, it still packed winds of up to 85 miles per hour. The tornado touched down at 5:22 p.m. and was on the ground for a quarter-mile, the National Weather Service said. It ran parallel to Route 28, dissipating before Potterbrook Road.
Fort Edward Man Facing Multiple Charges In Domestic Incident
A Fort Edward man is facing multiple charges after police said he tried to intentionally set a fire during a domestic dispute.
According to WTEN, 43 year old Craig Olden was charged with attempted arson, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child, following an incident that unfolded July 9th at a home on Parry Street.
