Barn Party To Benefit Thurman Highway Superintendent

A local couple has been holding a barn party in Thurman each fall for 13 years — to raise money for a family facing hardship, a severe illness or a calamity. The Sun Community News reportsJamiee and Roy Ross’ annual Barn Party is to be held from 1 p.m. to about 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 — and this year the proceeds are to help offset the expenses that Thurman Highway Superintendent Pat Wood incurred following the devastating fire at his home, durin which he suffered burns over about 55 percent of his body.
