Grant To Protect Hemlock Trees In Lake George Champlain Basin

The Lake Champlain Lake George Regional Planning Board (LCLGRPB) has secured a $108,000 grant from the Lake Champlain Basin Program to develop a unified understanding and approach to protect hemlock trees in the Lake George Watershed that are threatened by hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA). Sun Community News reports hemlock trees are one of the most common trees found throughout the Lake George watershed.
