Environmental advocates released new details about the impacts of an herbicide that was added to parts of Lake George. WTEN reports the Lake George Association said the herbicide, known as ProcellaCOR, removed an invasive species from parts of the lake, but it did not get rid of it completely.
They found the lake’s directional flow impacted how effective the herbicide was. They are also looking into whether the removal of the invasive species is causing algae blooms.
