SNAP Recipients Can Be Reimbursed For Food Lost To Severe Weather

SNAP recipient households that have lost food purchased with SNAP benefits due to the severe storm are entitled to a replacement issuance of SNAP benefit. You need to report the loss by August 13, 2024, and return a signed and completed form LDSS-2291 (attached) “Request for Replacement of Food Purchased with Food Stamp Benefits,” within 10 days of the date of the report of loss. The form can be mailed or faxed to Warren County Department of Social Services at 518-761-6301.
