Group Opposes Herbicide For Lake George

The Lake George Association wants Gov. Kathy Hochul to intervene on a proposal to introduce a controversial herbicide into the lake. The herbicide, a chemical called ProcellaCOR, would help manage the spread of milfoil, an invasive weed. WNYT reports members are concerned that introducing the chemical runs the risk of introducing and spreading PFAS into the water. PFAS is a chemical that made people sick in Hoosick Falls and other communities around the state.
