The New York State Court of Appeals accepted the determination of the Commission on Judicial Conduct and removed Whitehall Town and Village Court Justice Robert J. Putorti from office, effective immediately. WRGB reports
Judge Putorti, a Justice of the Whitehall Town Court since 2014, was removed for “unjustifiably pointing a loaded handgun at a defendant in court, then repeatedly bragging about it publicly, exaggerating the facts and characterizing the matter in racial terms.”
