Court Weighs Removing Whitehall Judge In Connection With Courtroom Incident

Whitehall judge Justice Robert Putorti, is currently facing potential removal from the bench by New York’s highest court due to an incident that occurred eight years ago. Putorti, who has presided over the town and village courts in Whitehall since 2014, was accused of pointing a loaded gun at a Black defendant, Brandon Wood, in his courtroom, after Purporti claims Wood rushed the judge’s bench.
