The deteriorating pumps handling sewage from the Caldwell Sewer District to Lake George Village’s wastewater treatment plant will soon be replaced, following the June 13 decision by the Town Board to undertake the $1.2 million project. Sun Community News reports the initiative includes upgrading almost all the equipment in the district’s two pump stations including new flow meters, emergency bypass valves and pipes, flow interruption alarms, electronic and digital controls and flow meters.
