The state education commissioner says the Cambridge School District has to drop its Indians nickname and imagery by July. WNYT reports The commissioner reversed a decision by the school board to reinstate the nickname, which had been retired last June. The board released a statement saying it’s disappointed with the decision and will thoughtfully review it to determine how to proceed.
