State Police in Queensbury arrested 25-year-old Matthew T. Pomainville of Whitehall, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree (A misdemeanor), and five counts of Petit Larceny (A misdemeanor). Pomainville was identified during a traffic stop on Dix Ave. in Hudson Falls, at approximately 3:05 a.m. on Saturday. He was stopped for a series of traffic violations and observed to match the description of a suspect that had committed multiple larcenies from Target in Queensbury. A probable cause search of his vehicle was conducted, and he was found to be in possession of multiple electronic items that were stolen from Target earlier in the day. From April of 2020 until his arrest, Pomainville is accused of stealing approximately $2,000 worth of goods from Target in Queensbury. These thefts occurred on numerous dates.
