State Police in Wilton arrested 46-year-old Jeanine M. LaPointe of Lake George on drug counts.
LaPointe was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by State Police for a series of traffic violations on I-87 in Wilton Wednesday morning. When a Trooper approached the vehicle, they observed signs indicative of drug use and a probable cause search was conducted. During the search LaPointe was found to be in possession of approximately 3.6 grams of heroin. Police say they also found a hypodermic needle on LaPointe.
